Pre-trip (August 13)

אני לא רוצה להרוס לכם את החופשה שחיכיתם לה. רק בגלל זה אני מוכנה לעשות משהו משעמם כמו לנסוע לאוסטרליה.                                              תמר, 11 באוגוסט

1:30 AM. The kids are asleep, Lilach is putting the final touches to her article revision cover letter, and I’m trying a couple of different blogging platforms, with a couple of themes on each. Clearly the best way to spend the night before a 2-month trip.

Needless to say, the suitcases are mournfully neglected, at various stages of disarray. After all, we do have a reputation to keep. We’ll deal with them tomorrow.
